You should have a dedicated office space when working from home. You don't need a big one, but it does have to be comfortable. An office must be quiet, organized and inspiring. Don't concern yourself with the total size; you can work with any size space.

It might seem like a vacation being able to send correspondence from home, but eventually you may come to miss interacting with others on a daily basis. Try going out to various places during the week to maintain personal friendships.

Maintain adequate communication with your customer base. Share information, but don't overwhelm them. An occasional newsletter and emails sent when there is news to share are all that's required. Deposit your money as soon as payments are received. You should make your deposits daily, instead of weekly or monthly. If you don't deposit a check right away, it could get lost. Make sure that when you do make a deposit, you do so with a live teller rather than an ATM machine. This way you will know that they money is going to the right place without any problems.
