You Need Traffic To Your Internet Site? Stop All The B.S.

By Evelyn Myers

Increasing website, traffic is easy

They are going to come if you develop it

Blah, blah, blah

If we were to provide even more traffic to our site, we'd enhance our sales, I believe it's safe to make it clear that we all bought into that crap. On the surface, it looks sensible. Evaluating that idea a tiny bit better under a miniscule lens, it doesn't hold up.

I can not begin to tell you precisely how many times I have really talked to company owners who had actually managed to drive huge quantities of visitors to their web sites. The issue was the traffic was not converting into sales. The elephant in the room at this juncture is, why isn't the traffic changing.

The absolute best starting place is by assesing the quality of traffic that is currently visiting your site. My mother instructed me to never assume. Well mom, please forgive me, I'm going to take the leap of faith and do so at any rate. I'm going to assume that you have Google Analytics on your internet site which you can track where your traffic is originating.

If for some wierd reason you aren't presently tracking the traffic coming to your internet site, shame on you. The more that you understand about your traffic and what your site visitors are doing the better off you will be.

If you are presently tracking your traffic, start off by seeing where your traffic is coming from. If you find that the majority of traffic is coming from a Pay per click project that you are running for example, you have 2 alternatives:

1. Take a look at your PPC projects quality scores. If you happen to have a low score, tweak your landing page.
2. You can also double check your keywords and modify them also.

At the close of the day it comes down to tracking your traffic, and ensuring it is targeted. Split test different landing pages, headlines, products, for example. It all boils down to testing, testing and more testing.

So get out there and start testing right now.
