Taco Bell Hired 15,000 Thanks To Doritos Locos

By Cornelius Nunev

The Doritos Locos tacos from Taco Bell are sure distinctive, being a taco with a Doritos chip shell. They also are a smashing success - besides selling almost 400 million of them, 15,000 careers were created as a result of the things.

Helped Taco Bell a lot

Amazon founding investor Nick Hanauer was recently on those "TED" Talks. He explained that companies do not create careers so much as customers do.

If people want a commodity, that demand gives rise to creating a chain of supply. Executives and venture capitalists, in essence, have their careers produced by the de-mand.

Evidently, executives were offended, so the footage was buried. You can still find it on YouTube though.

Taco Bell proved his point though. Taco Bell, in fact, is adding 15,000 careers to the payroll simply as the "Doritos Locos" tacos were so popular and there was such a high demand, according to Daily Mail.

Over 300 million taco fans can't be wrong

It seems kind of silly that 15,000 jobs might be created from one taco. Taco Bell does not explain how this correlates either.

That aside, the delicious treats were a smashing success. After test runs in lim-ited locations went well, Taco Bell rolled them out nationwide. Over 2012, 375 million were sold and that many taco supporters cannot be wrong. It accounted, according to the Christian Science Monitor, for almost a quarter of Taco Bell's taco sales.

The Nacho Cheese flavor was released last year. During the last couple of weeks, the Cool Ranch flavor was launched, according to the LA Times. The Cool Ranch fla-vor has 140 calories and 7 grams of fat while the nacho flavor has 160 calories and 10 grams of fat. It also costs less than $2 per taco, so it will not break the personal bank to spend there.

Only a taco

Lord knows why Doritos Locos are such a big deal. It's just a taco for crying out loud. However, the so-cial networks are going absolutely insane over it. Same thing with the McRib; it's prac-tically pork gelatin slathered in barbecue sauce on a terrible bun. Are we this bored as a culture that THIS is what it's come down to?

Maybe this wonderful modern day IS that dull.
